Peter Saville Identity

Visual identity inspired by the work of Peter Saville. Created a new iteration of his color code blocks with updated colors.

Peter Saville's now famous "color code" first appeared on the cover of Blue Monday by New Order in 1983, originally thought to be a visual element and nothing more. After Power, Corruption & Lies was released a few months later with a similar block of colors on the cover, people realized it said something. Here, his color code is used to spell out details of the artist's life for a T-shirt graphic.
